Adorable!! What a great dress and super duper shoes! I’d wear them! You have a beautiful daughter! Congrats on her graduation.
Thanks! She’s not awake yet so I don’t know how it went, but am anxious to hear the details.
Just lovely! You must have been excited for her as well.
Beyond cute. I ran across a jr. prom photo of mine recently, and BOY, oh, boy is it a snapshot in fashion history. Why do I think she won’t look back and cringe? Classic beauty, cheeky flair.
I know exactly what you mean. My 1989 wedding dress has huge poofy shoulders! One of my prom dresses was a Gunne Sax – the quintessential ’80s prom dress label. Now it just looks like a bad wedding dress to me.
Priceless! She’s adorable and so is the outfit.
She’s stunning! And that’s a beautiful dress!
Cute, cute. That dress is perfect – not too adult, but yet flirty and stylish. And of course, the shoes!
Ha! I remember Gunne Sax. Thankfully, that craze had passed by the time my prom came around. Your daughter’s dress is just beautiful (and so is she). I hope all went well.
great photo — and congrats to TeenMartha on her graduation and awards, too. I hope she had a great time at the prom.
She had a fun time.
Aww, thanks everyone. We had a huge dress crisis. She ordered one from a local store and it arrived in terrible condition. It had gold threads that were pulling out. The owner recommended against re-ordering it, saying there was clearly a problem with the material. So there we were with no dress. We looked everywhere and could find nothing else. Then we went to FL for spring break and found this at Nordstrom. They didn’t have it in her size in stock and when they looked it up there was one in the entire country in her size. We snagged it and had it delivered home, not sure if it was going to fit. It came and it fit perfectly – no alterations needed. A miracle. And then finding the shoes was the icing on the cake for her. Clothes and shoes are silly little things in light of everything else, but I’m glad she had this night to enjoy, looking exactly the way she wanted to.
Oh, what a beautiful girl! And that dress is fabulous. I missed my prom, and I always get a little excited when I see pictures like these. 🙂
